Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent the Russian player secured his maiden title for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has endured a difficult year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the American major.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in particular - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and eventually splitting with long-term coach Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has steadily improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested three-set win over challenger Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface since March of 2023.
Victory also means the Russian has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one different events.
"For the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters together, so to win a title is really nice," stated tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in honour of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his past six championship matches, comprising in Halle earlier this year.
His counter-punching approach and recurring reactions on the playing surface had caused observers to wonder if his skill to compete at the elite level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his first ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
He saved 4 early-game break points in a tight final set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the title with a shot at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
